Do you allow dogs?
At this time, we only allow service animals at Akademia Brewing Company. As we complete renovations on our outdoor area, however, we look forward to welcoming pups! Follow us on social media to make sure you don’t miss our outdoor opening later this year.

I’m having a birthday party with a lot of guests. Can I reserve the brewpub?
Akademia does not rent out the brewpub at this time, but we are happy to host events with a week’s reservation notice on a first-come, first-serve basis in a semi-private area. We do not take reservations for Friday and Saturday nights. For more details on our policies for reservations and events, click here.
Do you serve anything besides beer?
Well, yes — as a brewpub, we are able to not only be a full-service lunch and dinner restaurant that brews its own beer, but we also serve wine, guest beer and liquor. Though Akademia’s beer is its flagship beverage, we do have a small selection of wine, spirits, craft sodas and Coca-Cola products available.
Where can I find your lunch specials?
Akademia Brewing Company serves up a few lunch specials from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding major holidays. We have a soup and sandwich of the day that changes regularly. Check out our social media to see what’s available, or give us a call at 678-726-2288 and we’ll be happy to tell you today’s items.
Can I bring my kids/teenager/underage friend?
Sure thing. We do provide high chairs, booster seats, etc. for our Young Philosophers, and we do not provide alcohol to anyone under the age of 21. We also would like to gently remind parents of younger children that Akademia is a production brewery in addition to having a restaurant — so there may be loud noises, heavy equipment in the back and the scents of beer and malt in the air.
I don’t live in Athens. Where can I get Akademia beer?
Akademia’s owners recently signed our distribution contract with Modern Hops! Our immediate plans are to focus in the Athens area, but we will announce shortly where we will be available in other markets. Beer will be available on tap in select bars, restaurants and growler shops.
Speaking of growlers — can I bring mine to fill at Akademia?
No, we do not fill, clean or service growlers at Akademia. If you would like to take some of our beer to go, certain brews are available in crowlers, which are 32-ounce sealed cans.
